The central communication of KIT helps you to achieve your communication goals

KIT communication pursues strategic goals: For example, to attract the most talented students and the most capable scientists to KIT or to intensify the transfer to the economy and the dialogue with society. We, the Department of Corporate Communications (SEK-GK), are responsible for the central internal and external communication of KIT. We are the contact for the media and the public and report up-to-date, target group-oriented, and multimedia-based on the results of KIT's top research as well as achievements in teaching and innovation.

Following the "Digital First" approach, the website serves as a central portal to the KIT's information offers. Our communication formats range from press releases, expert mails, and online reports to the press newsletter KIT-Kompakt, social media, and the research podcast KIT.audio to the research magazine lookKIT and the student magazine clicKIT.

We offer employees numerous opportunities to find out about current developments and interesting topics at KIT on the intranet, KIT.intranews, and KITdialog, the magazine for employees - and to let others know what you are working on yourself.

lookKIT - The magazine for research, teaching and innovation

Our large-format research magazine lookKIT addresses a broad public: graduates, actors in science, economy, culture, politics, and media. We provide up-to-date reports on people and projects at KIT. In this way, we make visible the whole range of disciplines and knowledge in the KIT community and their contribution to the success of major projects of our society, such as the energy turnaround.

The magazine has a circulation of about 20,000 copies. There are four issues per year. Companies can place image advertisements in the magazine.

KITdialog: We are in dialogue with the employees

KIT Dialog is the magazine for KIT employees. In it, we inform about current developments, explain backgrounds, introduce employees in their work, and make the whole diversity of the KIT community tangible. KIT-Dialog is published three times a year in a print run of 11,000 copies.

Listen: KIT.audio and Campus Report

KIT.audio is the free research podcast of KIT. At irregular intervals, renowned radio journalists and podcasters take up a currently urgent research topic and explore what KIT scientists contribute to it.

The SRH Campus Report is the broadcast window of Baden universities on Radio Regenbogen. From Monday to Friday at 7 p.m., the project partners Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, University of Freiburg, University of Heidelberg, University of Mannheim, and SRH Holding report on the latest news from science, research, and education.

Our communication follows the "digital first" approach. The homepage www.kit.edu is the central portal and first guide to the topics of KIT. In the header of the website, we take up a KIT topic in the form of a multimedia dossier on a regular basis. The selection is based on topicality, special relevance in a current public debate, or strategic importance for KIT at the moment of publication. In addition, there are news from research, teaching, and innovation. Thanks to our rubric pages, the entire world of KIT topics is only one click away in the main menu.

Studies, working life, events - on www.clickit-magazin.de you will find current stories around the campus. We present start-ups from KIT, report about stays abroad and exciting projects of students. Social media: networked and well informed

Social networks are important communication channels of KIT: almost 30,000 people follow KIT on Twitter, KIT has about 42,000 subscriberson Facebook, about 6,000 on YouTube, and about 17,400 followerson Instagram. In addition, almost 91,000 people are connected to KIT via LinkedIn (as of March 2021).

The online editorial team keeps fans and followers up to date with current information from research, teaching, and innovation, event information, and new videos from KIT, and reports on life on campus.
